I just realized that I didn't even introduce myself! So here I go, I'm Evelien, 19 years old and living in the Netherlands. I tried two different studies (Journalism & Interior Design), but they weren't what I thought after all. I hope to become a student at Amsterdam Fashion Institute this year! My favorite designers/labels are Balmain, Isabel Marant, Lanvin, Dries van Noten, By Malene Birger, Chloé, Zac Posen, Alexander McQueen, The Row, Karl Lagerfeld, Elizabeth&James and Alexander Wang.

Even more bored, and I can't stop creating outfits. I'm in love with the Dior Oui ring, unfortunately it's out of my range, otherwise I was wearing it already! The same story for the Topshop Amelie shoes, I want them soooo bad! But they're sold out everywhere. Can't even find them on eBay no more, for a normal price. :(

Balmain S/S 09

I always liked Balmain, but I love Christophe Decarnin's collection for Balmain S/S 09! The jackets are awesome, the acid wash and distressed jeans look fierce, not to mention the sharp and defined shoulders . He did alot with studs, crystals and glittery webs, what worked out so well! A bit of masculinity in the shoulders, yet feminine in the bodycon silhouette. It's basically a collection of very sexy clothes for rock chic women!

I think ripped jeans are great! Clean rips, messy rips, big rips, little rips, all kinds of rips! I don't believe everyone can pull of this look, so be sure you can if you do. From what I've seen, it works out the best when you cut various parallel lines, more or less the same length, don't exaggerate. Or really do exaggerate and make parallel close cuts all over the place! In this case it can be necessary to wear black tights underneath.

Jag älskar Helena Hörstedt

I just love love love the Swedish designlabel Helena Hörstedt. She has the ability to create exquisite shapes, frills, origami foldings, intricate constructions, textures, knots, lots of volumes and using only black as her primary color. Her designs immediately caught my eye. Her designs are more than fashion, it's art! Ready-to-wear art. "I want my garment to be a fascinating visual experience as much as a usable. I want them to build a desire, continuously expand and to surprise the beholder." thus Helena. She certainly succeeded in that. Just look at the pictures below, they say more than all the words I just said.
